Like most con men, Chad Golem's victims mean nothing to him. His capacity for remorse or guilt is non-existent, a characteristic prevalent in many con men. In his eyes, victims are like the images at the top of this page, nameless, faceless, just marks in his con game to be taken advantage of and manipulated. The reality though is that these are real, hard working, everyday people with families to feed and employees to pay. People much like your neighbors and friends. They were just unlucky to have run into Mr. Golem. The sad part is that many of Mr. Golem's victims were people who knew him and had the greatest amount of trust in him. Ultimately, these victims also ended up suffering the biggest losses, both financially and emotionally.

Of course Mr. Golem doesn't know that this victim has already talked to other victims and knows the truth.

Remarkably, in Mr. Golem's version, no one lost money, everyone "profited significantly", and he will ultimately be the party that bears the losses. Essentially, in his version, he is the victim and his clients are the ungrateful beneficiaries of his actions. This of course is the exact opposite of the truth, but as all of his victims have found, the truth matters little to Mr. Golem.
